The main functions of Taxes Zone-3, Chattogram under the Income Tax Division of the National Board of Revenue are to take necessary steps to achieve the revenue targets set by the National Board of Revenue and to encourage taxpayers who have taxable income under the jurisdiction to file income tax returns and pay taxes. Among the functions of this taxes zone are monitoring the tax at 12 (twelve) sources: Ensuring the collection of income tax at source. Proper implementation of the Citizens' Charter to ensure tax services to taxpayers. Take necessary steps to uncover tax evasion and strengthen ADR activities to recover disputed revenue. In addition, to take revenue collection activities as per the political decision of the government, to develop relationships with various stakeholders and to increase the partnership and conduct survey activities to keep the revenue collection activities dynamic by expanding network of Taxes.
